Testing NB-IoT technology in Moscow

On the basis of mobile operators MTS and Beeline, telemetry units using NB-IoT technology were successfully tested, made in the form factor of BBT telemetry modules manufactured in series since 2004.

For the first time, the novelty was presented at a workshop of the company LLC Rustekhnologiya in Moscow on February 19, 2019. The modules for transmitting data from household energy meters were demonstrated, which allow you to remotely monitor the operating parameters of metering devices and transmit the received information to the data collection server via the NB-IoT standard cellular channel.

The use of NB-IoT technology can reduce the power consumption of telemetry units compared with previous models by several times and, accordingly, increase the battery life of telemetry modules.
